Day 1 of National Combine Series Finals
We are at Rice Stadium in Houston this weekend, and the weather turned out great. We were worried about rain, but the sun was out and a light breeze kept everyone cool.
This morning the campers went through a workout and stretching routine from Velocity (they look worn out). The rest of the morning was instructional sessions from the associates. There were three sessions: kicking, punting and kickoffs. Each session lasted 30 minutes.
This afternoon will be the kickoff competition.

Doug and Tommy's Frequently Asked Questions: "I can easily kick 20 and 25 yard field goals consistently. The ball looks to be good from another 20 or so yards back, but as soon as I move back to kick, the ball falls short. Is this a mental problem or should I do drills to increase distance? I think that it is partly mental because the farther I get from the uprights, the less confident I feel. What do you think?" -- Click here to read our answer |
