Moira E. Stuart, PhD is the sport psychology consultant and associate professor of sport psychology at Northern Illinois University. In her work with the NIU department of intercollegiate athletics, Dr. Stuart works with over 400 student athletes. Her passion lies in assisting athletes reach their potential and gain a competitive edge through mental training. Dr. Stuart specializes in assisting high school athletes who are training for the next level by helping them to developing their mental training abilities needed to succeed at the next level.
Within the sport of football, Dr. Stuart specializes in mental training for kickers, punters, and quarterbacks. Training is available to clients both over the phone, on line, as well as in person at camps, clinics, and individual sessions. Based outside of Chicago, Dr. Stuart travels nationally to work with clients including teaching coaches how to incorporate mental skills training into their coaching practices.
